The X115 triplex by Extra Yachts offers folding balconies for more space

Finding a balance between size and volume is a constant challenge for shipbuilders. As always, customers want to own a ship that gives them more room for customization, which is most often the case with multi-hull options. Nevertheless, Extra Yachts advertises the X115 Triplex with a cool feature that adds extra space only when needed.

This new 115ft monohull features a sleek form factor with clean lines that run from top to tail. As we said earlier, Extra Yachts incorporates a fold-down pulpit system to the open-air aft saloon. The concept, naval architecture, interior and exterior design come from Palumbo Superyachts.

Then we have Hot Lab, which also contributes to the overall look of the X115 Triplex’s enclosed areas. This explorer yacht features a semi-displacement hull with spray rails. The hull construction is glass-reinforced plastic, while the superstructure is a mix of the same material with carbon fiber.

In the highest section of the X115 Triplex is the terrace with lounge chairs and seating. Then we have the upper deck. You will find a 10-seater dining table, seating, bar, covered living area, deck, captain’s quarters and a Jacuzzi with sunpads on either side forward.

As we descend to the main deck there are more seats outside. Additionally, there are stairs that lead to the swim platform below. Forward is where you will find the owner’s suite. Complete with a desk, wardrobe, vanity, private balcony and ensuite bathroom.

Finally, the lower deck is where the other guest and crew cabins are located. The starboard garage of the X115 Triplex can accommodate a 15-foot tender. She is powered by three 1,000 horsepower Volvo Penta IPS engines and can cruise at 12 knots with a top speed of 17.5 knots.
